Kenneth White

MBCC: Chairman

Kenneth White is Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager of Sandy Spring Bank. Ken has previously held the position of Vice President-Branch Operations and Business Development for Signal Financial Federal Credit Union, Washington, DC, where he was responsible for creating and cultivating the small business development culture within the credit union.

Mr. White’s career in banking and economic development spans over 40 years and began at Bank of America in 1979. He has also held positions at M&T Bank, Working for Success Economic Development; The Washington Project; New Day Consulting; and Southeastern University’s Center for Entrepreneurship.

Mr. White serves on the Board of the following organizations: Prince George’s FSC First, Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce (Chair),  Leadership Prince George’s, SBA District Office Quality Circle; Maryland Commercial Lenders Association,  Prince George’s County Board of Social Services and the  Maryland Association of Social Services Board Foundation.

Mr. White graduated from Potomac College with a BS in Management. He is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, Carey School of Business, Minority Leadership Development Graduate Program.

Mr. White resides in Cheverly Maryland and Works in Laurel Maryland (Prince George’s County).

Mr. White has been recognized for his community involvement with awards from Leadership Prince George’s, Prince George’s FSC First, Prince George’s Small Business Initiative Alliance and the US Small Business Administration.
